Nature in Romagna

Nature parks and reserves

A quarter of the surface of Romagna is made of woods, a great deal of which belongs to natural parks and protected areas that offer a broad variety of natural environments ranging from the mountain to the river landscapes, from the hill to the sea environments. Thus, nature in Romagna is a key feature of the landscape, and a very rich feature as well, which never ends amazing visitors; every province offers unique scenarios that starting from the stems of the river Po end up to the wild beaches of the Gabicce promontory. The variety of its environment, which stands out from many other regions of Europe, has favored a great deal of biodiversity in the animal species. It is precisely to bring about and protect this precious heritage that there are several nature reserves with some interesting museums such as the Museo Naturalistico of the Park of Sasso Simone and Simoncello.
